Section 141

(1) Every person engaged, or intending to be engaged, in any of the professions, trades and callings, as specified in Schedule II, in any area within the jurisdiction of the Corporation, either by himself or by an agent or representative, shall obtain a certificate of enlistment or get the same renewed annually, as the case may be, from the Commissioner or, in his absence, the officer authorised to function as the Commissioner, upon presentation of an application together with such application-fee, not exceeding rupees two thousand and five hundred, as may be determined by the Corporation by regulations: Provided that such certificate of enlistment or renewal thereof shall not absolve such person from any liability to obtain any licence under this Act or under any other law for the time being in force. (2) The Commissioner or, in his absence, the officer authorised to function as the Commissioner shall, after making such inquiry as may be necessary and within thirty days of the receipt of the application under sub-section (1), grant the person as aforesaid a certificate of enlistment if the application is in order or shall reject the application if it is not in order.
