(1) The Municipality may, on its own or in collaboration with any one, erect plants for generation of electric power, subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Chapter, all matters relating to generation, transmission, supply or use of electrical energy 9 of 1910 in a municipal area shall be regulated by the provisions of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910.
