(1) A Board shall appoint a Health Officer or, if so required by the State Government, more than one 1Tealth Officer for the mining settlement. (2) Such Health Officer or Health Officers shall be appointed in consultation with the State Government from amongst the members of the West Bengal Health Service on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (3) Where more than one Health Officer are appointed for a mining settlement, the area over which each such officer shall have jurisdiction ehall be specified in the order of appointment.
