In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "the Act" means the Bengal Medical Act, 1914; (b) "the ad hoc Council" means the West Bengal Medical Council (ad hoc) referred to in clause (b) of section 4; (c) "the Council" means the West Bengal Medical Council constituted under the Act; (d) other words and expressions have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
