The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, remove any member of a market committee from his office as such, if such member has, in the opinion of the State Government, been guilty of misconduct or neglect of duty or become disqualified within .the meaning of section 12: Provided that before issuing any such notification in respect of any member of a market committee the State Government shall communicate to him in writing the reasons for the proposed removal and shall give him an opportunity of making his representation, if any, against such removal.
