The Board may, with the approval of the State Government, direct that— (a) such of the powers and duties conferred or imposed upon the Board by or under this Act as may be specified in such direction may also be exercised or performed by the Chairman, Or (b) such of the powers and duties conferred or imposed on the Chairman by or under this Act as may be specified in such direction may also be exercised or performed by the Vice- Chairman, subject to such conditions and restrictions as may be specified in such direction: Provided that the Vice-Chairman shall be subject to the supervision and control of the Chairman in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties specified in the direction. 302 The West Bengal Maritime Board Act, 2000.
