(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Land Holding Revenue Act, 1979. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal except the areas described in Schedule Ito the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951. (3) It shall come into force on such date and in such district as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different districts.
