(1) Every raiyat who makes payment of revenue within the prescribed period shall be entitled to a rebate of five per centum of the amount of revenue paid. (2) An arrear of revenue shall bear simple interest at the rate of six and quarter per centum per annum from the due date upto the date of payment.
