(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 32, until the constitution of a Selection Committee referred to therein, a University Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor shall be appointed by the Kanyashree University Council, referred to in sub-section (1) of section 61 on the recommendation of a Selection Committee constituted by the State Government and consisting of the Vice-Chancellor as Chairman, a nominee of the Chancellor, two nominees of the State Government, and a nominee of the Council, who shall be the subject expert having special knowledge of the subject which the Professor or the Associate Professor or the Assistant Professor, as the case may be, will teach. 20 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, JANUARY 2, 2019 [PART.
