(1) The Controller of Examinations shall be a whole-time officer of the University. He shall be appointed by the Governing Board on the recommendation of a committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor as the Chairman, a nominee of the Chancellor, two nominees of the Governing Board and a nominee of the State Government for such period and on such terms and conditions as may be provided by or under this Act. (2) The Controller of Examinations may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-Chancellor. (3) If the Controller of Examinations is for any reason temporarily unable to exercise the powers and perform the duties of his office, the Vice-Chancellor, with the approval of the Governing Board, may appoint a person temporarily for a period not exceeding six months to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Controller of Examinations.
