Any degree conferred by the National Council at any time between the first day of January, 1944 and the commencement of this Act shall, for all purposes, be deemed to be a degree corresponding to such degree of the University as may be declared by the State Government; and the holder of any such degree of the National Council shall be deemed to be a holder of such corresponding degree of the University and shall be entitled to use words, appella- tions, letters or abbreviations, after his name indicating that he is the holder of such corresponding degree.
