If any person uses any dynamite or other explosive substance or puts any poison, lime or noxious material in any fishery or other water area with intent to catch or destroy any fish therein, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both.
