(1) Any Councillor or Alderman may ask for a statement from the Mayor-in-Council on an urgent matter relating to the administration of the Corporation on the municipal government of Howrah by giving a notice to the Secretary at least one hour before the commencement of the sitting on any day. (2) The Mayor or a member of the Mayor-in-Council may accordingly make a brief statement on the same day or fix a date for the same.
