It shall be the duty of every police officer in or outside Howrah to assist the Corporation, the Mayor-in-Council, the Commissioner or any other officer or employee of the Corporation in the discharge of any of the powers, duties and functions under this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder as and when such assistance is called for. 356 The Howrah Municipal Corporation Act, 1980.
