for section 271, the following section shall be substituted, namely :— "use of filtered 271. Notwithstanding anything water for public contained elsewhere in this Act, purposes. filtered water may be used for the public purposes, such as— (a) street-watering, (b) flushing of municipal drains, public privies and urinals, gully pits and hackney- carriage stands, and (c) extinguishing fire, and shall also be used for such other public purposes as the Corporation may direct." ;
