- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Howrah-Amta Light Railway Company (Acquisition of Land) Act, 1976
- S. 2In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or Definitions
- S. 3(1) If the State Government is of opinion that any land held by of land
- S. 4Section 4 mandates the State Government to deposit compensation in court for acquired Howrah-Amta Light Railway Company lands, with different rates based on location.
- S. 5No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding whatsoever shall Indemnity
- S. 6Section 6 allows the State Government to issue orders to resolve any issues in implementing the Act.
- S. 7The State Government may, by notification in the Official Delegation
- S. 8Section 8 declares the Act's purpose to implement the state's policy on equitable resource distribution as per the Constitution.
