This measure accordingly seeks to provide for the constitution of a body of Bridge Commissioners and the functions to be performed by them in the construction, maintenance and control of the additional bridge or bridges across the river Hooghly. falling within the limits of the Port of Calcutta. It also provides for other allied matters relating to the financing of the bridge, the levy of tolls on vehicular and animal traffic, etc.
