(1) There shall be the following Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies :— (a) the Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Environment Studies, Environmental Ethics and Environmental Economics; (b) the Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Climate Studies, Environmental informatics and Water Resources Management; (c) the. Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Science and Technology; (d) the Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Humanities, Social Sciences, Law and Legal Studies; (e) the Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Professional and Vocational Studies; (1) the Schools of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies in Information Sciences and Media Studies; 18 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, JANUARY 9, 2018 [PART III The West Bengal Green University Act, 2017. (Chapter Ill.—Authorities of the University.—Section 29.) (g) any other Schools which may be established by the competent authority in this regard in the manner as provided in the Statutes. (2) Each School of Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies shall consist of the following members:— (i) the Vice-Chancellor—Chairman; (ii) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, (iii) the Dean of the School concerned; (iv) the Head or Heads of the Department or Departments concerned, if any; (v) the Professor or Professors of the Department or Departments concerned, if any; (vi) five teachers of the University, other than Professors belonging to the School concerned, to be elected by such teachers from amongst themselves; (vii) not more than three persons having special knowledge in the subject or subjects concerned nominated by the Vice-Chancellor from a panel of six persons recommended by the Governing Board; (viii) the School concerned may co-opt such Dean or Deans from any other School as it may considered necessary. (3) Each School for Post-graduate and Undergraduate Studies shall have a Secretary. The Secretary shall be a member of the School: Provided that in the absence of the Secretary, the Registrar or a Deputy Registrar or an Assistant Registrar, as may be nominated by him, shall act as the Secretary of the School. (4) One-third of the total number of members of a School for Post-graduate and Undergraduate studies shall be a quorum for a meeting of the School.
