If any allotee of land contravenes the provisions of clause (a) of section 18, or fails without sufficient cause to cultivate the land for two consecutive years, the Gram Perished may make an application to the presCribed authority for cancelling the allotment, and the prescribed authority may, after such inquiry as it deems fit, cancel the allotment and restore possession of the land to the Gram Perished after ejecting the allottee or any other person in possession therefrom.
