(1) The State Government may, by general or special order, published in the Official Gazette, order that such of the powers, duties and functions of the Collector under this Act, as the State Government may specify in this behalf, shall be exercised and performed by the Corporation of Calcutta through its EXecutive Officer or the Commissioners of the municipality concerned through their Chairman and the Corporation of Calcutta and the Commissioners of the municipality concerned, as the case may be, shall comply with such order. (2) Where, in pursuance of such order, the Corporation of Calcutta or the Commissioners of a municipality realise any fees under this Act, such fees shall be paid to the State Gov- ernment at such times and after making such deductions for the cost of collection and other incidental expenses therefrom as may be prescribed.
