(1) The Bengal Opium Smoking Act, 1932 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Bengal Opium Smoking Act, 1932, such repeal shall not— (a) affect the previous operation of the repealed Act and orders or anything duly done or suffered thereunder; 43 of 1961. 12 The West Bengal Finance Act, 2020. (Section 8.) (b) affect any right, privilege, obligation, or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the repealed Act; and (c) the provisions of section 6 of the Bengal General Clauses Act, 1899, with regard to the effect of repeal shall continue to hold in respect of the repealed Act.
