(1) The State Government may, by notification, make an exemption or reduction in the rate of tax payable by any specified class of persons subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be specified in the notification. (2) The State Government may, by notification, cancel or vary a notification issued under sub-section (1)."; (8) in the Schedule to the Act, in serial No. 1,- (a) in sub-serial (iii) in column (2), for the entry relating thereto in column (3), the word "Nil" shall be substituted; (b) in sub-serial (iv) in column (2), for the entry relating thereto in column (3), the word "Nil" shall be substituted.
