There shall be a Finance Committee with the Vice-Chancellor as the Chairman. The constitution, powers and functions of the Finance Committee shall be prescribed by Statutes and its procedure in financial matters, including the delegation of its powers shall be prescribed by Ordinances. The Finance Committee shall be constituted as follows:— (i) the Vice-Chancellor—Chairman; (ii) two members of the Court, nominated by the members of the Court from amongst themselves; (iii) two members of the Executive Council, nominated by the members of the Executive Council from amongst themselves; (iv) the Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, or his nominee, not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal; (v) the Secretary, Department of Finance, Government of West Bengal, or his nominee, not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal; (vi) the Registrar; PART III] THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2004 17 The Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur Act, 2004.
