- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Electri- city (Emergency Powe1·s) Act, 1948
- S. 2In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant m the Defini- subject or context,- tions
- S. 4Section 4 authorizes the West Bengal Provincial Government to restrict or stop electricity supply to consumers for emergency reasons.
- S. 5(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Electricity Aet, 1910, or in any license granted thereunder or in
- S. 6Notwithstanding anything contained in any contract or Restriction
- S. 7Any person who contravenes any order made under Penalties
- S. 8Section 8 makes company officers liable for violations committed by the company under Section 7.
- S. 9Section 9 bars courts from taking action on offenses under the Act and prohibits legal proceedings against actions done in good faith under the Act's orders.
- S. 12On the expiration of this Act, such expiration shall expiration not- of this Act
- S. 62Section 62 grants Regional Forest Officers powers to manage and control forests vested in them under the Act.
