(1) The Academic Council of the Institute shall consist of the following members, namely:— (i) the Director of the Institute, ex officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council; (ii) two academicians or professionals to be nominated by the Board; (iii) two external academicians or professionals in the area of information and communication technology, to be nominated by the Director; (iv) two Deans of the Institute, by rotation to be nominated by the Director; (v) one Professor from each discipline of the Institute, by rotation to be nominated by the Director; (vi) the Executive Registrar who shall be the non-member Secretary of the council. (2) The term of office of the members other than the ex officio member shall be three years.
