(1) So much of the electoral roll for any Assembly Constituency in force on the last date of nominations for the General Council election as relates to the area comprised within a constituency as defined in clause (a) of section 2 shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, be the electoral roll for the election of members of the General Council from that constituency. (2) Persons whose names are included in the electoral rolls of the relevant Assembly constituencies in force on the last date of nominations for General Council election pertaining to the hill areas of the district of Darjeeling shall be the electorate for the election of members of the General Council. (3) The Government shall, at the time and in the manner prescribed, cause to be published the electoral roll in respect of a constituency of the General Council. Electoral rolls.
