(1). There shall be a Dean for each Faculty Council for Post-Graduate Studies who shall be elected by the Faculty Council in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed by Statutes: Provided that the Vice Chancellor may appoint a seniormost professor as Dean for Faculty Council or Councils for Post-Graduate Studies from amongst the concerned Faculty Council for Post-Graduate Studies in absence of any election of the Dean: Provided further that the Dean, as appointed in the manner aforesaid shall act for all purposes of this Act, until and unless Dean has been elected under this Act. (2). The Dean shall hold office as a Dean for such term as may be prescribed by Statutes. Boards of Studies. Finance Committee. Selection Committee for Teachers of University.
