Section 42

(1) With the previous approval of the Registrar, a co-operative society may, by a resolution passed at a general meeting, change its name. (2) Such change of name shall not affect any right or obligation of the society or of any of its members, or past members, or of the estate of any of its deceased members; and any legal proceedings pending on the date of such change in which such society is a party may be continued by or against the society under its new name.
