(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and of any rules, a society which has as its object the promotion of the common interests of its members in accordance with co-operative principles, or a society established with the object of facilitating the operation of such a society, including a society formed by the division of an existing co-operative society or amalgamation of existing co-operative societies, may be registered under this Act with or without limited liability. (2) The word "limited" shall be the last word in the name of a society registered under this Act with limited liability. Conferment of powers of Registrar. Societies which may be registered.
