(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 1973. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: Short title, extent and commence- ment. 155 The West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 1973.
