(1) The licensing authority or an officer authorized by him, shall have the power to cause an inspection or inquiry in respect of any clinical establishment, its building, laboratories and equipment and also of the services rendered by the clinical establishment or any other matter connected with the clinical establishment, and that establishment shall be entitled to be represented thereat. 14 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, MARCH 17, 2017 [PART III The West Bengal Clinical Establishments (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017. (2) (a) Every officer authorized under sub-section (1) shall conduct the inspection and submit a report to the prescribed authority within seven days of completion of any inspection by him in such manner as may be prescribed. (b) He shall record his observation or inspection note in the inspection book to be kept at the clinical establishment for this purpose.
