(1) The West Bengal Clinical Establishments Act, 1950 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done, including any rule, notification, inspection, order or notice made or issued or any license, permission, authorization or exemption granted or any document or instrument executed or any direction given under the repealed Act shall, insofar as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, any proceeding pending in any court at the commencement of this Act may be continued in that court as if this Act had not been passed. (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (2), the clinical establishment for which license was granted before the commencement of this Act shall be governed by the provisions of repealed Act till the expiry of the terms of existing license.
