(1) Application for renewal of registration and license shall be made at least a period of thirty days before the date of expiry of the validity of the registration and license: Provided that in case the application for renewal is made— (a) after the said period but before the date of expiry of the validity of the registration and license; or (b) after expiry of the validity of the registration and licence, the licencing authority shall allow renewal of registration and licence on payment of such enhanced fee for each day and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (2) In the event of failure of the licensing authority to communicate the fact of granting or rejection of application for renewal of registration and license after the expiry of the prescribed period from the date of receipt of such application, the license shall be deemed to have been renewed and the person can keep or carry on the clinical establishment in accordance with the provision of this Act until such communication is received.
