fWest Ben, Act (Sections 8, 9.) -(i¢) on conviction for a second or subsequent offence he punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both, and shall in. addition be liable te a fine which may extend to twenty-five rupees for every day for which the offence con- tinues after conviction. (2) Where a person committing an offence under this Act is a company or an association or a body of persons, whether incorporated or not, every director, manager, secretary or other officer concerned with the management thereof shall, unless be proves that the offence was committed without his knowledge or that he exercised due diligence to prevent its commission, be deemed to be guilty of such offence.
