The powers conferred on courts by this Act shall be e x ercised— (a) in any area for which a juvenile court has been established, by such court only, (b) in any other area, by— (i) the High Court, or (ii) a Court of 'Session, or (iii) a Presidency Magistrate, or (iv) a Magistrate of the first class, having jurisdiction • to try the case.
