(I) Notwithstanding anything contained in the APFeal• Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, an appeal from an order made by a Court under the provisions of this Act shall lie— (a) if passed by a Magistrate other than a Presidency Magistrate to the Sessions Judge; _(b) if passed by a Court of Sessio Magistrate, to the High Court. 18 The West Bengal Children Act, 1959. (Z) The period of limitation for an appeal under sub- section (1) shall be thirty days in the case of appeals to Courts other than the High Court, and sixty days in the case of an appeal to the High Court from the date of the order appealed against. (3) The provisions of sections and 12 of the Indian Limitation Act, 1908, shall apply to such appeals.
