(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal title, Children Act, 1959. (2) It extends to the whole of West Bengal. and extent comnaen- (3) This section shall come into force at once. The cement. remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in such area or areas and on such date or dates as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act or for different areas.
