(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 21 or section 22, the Municipal Service Commission (hereinafter referred to in this section as the said Commission) constituted under sub-section (1) of section 26 of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to in this section as the said Act), shall, by virtue of sub-section (5A) of section 26 of the said Act, select such personnel for the Corporation as may be determined by the State Government by notification under sub- section (5A) of section 26 of the said Act, and it shall be binding on the Corporation to appoint the personnel selected by the said Commission. (2) Any amount of contribution payable by the Corporation under sub-section (2) of section 29 of the said Act shall, in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 20 of the said Act, be credited by the Corporation to the Municipal Fund of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation.
