The Corporation shall, when granting permission conditionally or unconditionally to execute the work, specify a period within which the building or the work is to be completed and if the building or the work is not completed within the period so specified, it shall not be continued thereafter without fresh permission unless the Corporation on an application made in this behalf allows an extension of such period: Provided that the Corporation may, if it considers necessary, require a modification of the building plan for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of inordinate delay in completion of the work.
