The Chief Executive Officer may, without notice, cause to be remove— (a) any wall, fence, rail, post, step, booth or other structure or fixture which may be erected or set up in or upon any street, footpath or upon or over any open channel, drain, well or tank contrary to the provisions of this Act; 606 The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990. (b) any article, bench, box, ladder, bale, board or shelf or any other thing whatsoever placed, deposited, projected, attached or suspended in, upon, from or to any place in contravention of the provisions of this Act; (c) any article whatsoever hawked or exposed for sale in any public place or in any public street or footpath in contravention of the provisions of this Act and any vehicle, package, box, board, shelf or any other thing in or on which such article is placed or kept for the purpose of sale, display, or otherwise. (2) No person shall milk pr cause or permit to be milked any cow or buffalo or other animal in any street or other public place. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, the Chief Executive Officer may cause to be removed or impounded any animal tethered or being milked or found straying in any street or other public place.
