(1) Subject to the supervision, direction and general Powers control of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for and , Business Affairs and .Finance shall be in charge of the oftkie: administration of the funds, the finances and the properties Pro-Wee- and assets of the University and of all trusts and endow- flhaareollor ments; and he shall take special interest in activities that aim for_„_ A at raising funds for the purposes of the University and BAffairs a?"'" augmenting the resources of, the University. and (2) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Business Affairs and Thian". Finance shall be in charge of the work of the Accounts Department of the University, including collection of funds, and shall, subject to the provisions of section 9, be responsible for ensuring that all monies are expended fOr the purpose for which they are, sanctioned within the limits of budget allotments. (3) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Business Affairs and Finance shall, in consultation with the relevant departments of the University, prepare the Annual Financial Estimates and the Annual Statement of Accounts. (4) Save as may be otherwise prescribed, all contracts and agreements, relating to matters of which he is in charge, shall, on approval by the Syndicate, be signed and executed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Business Affairs and Finance ,on behalf of the University. (5) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Business Affairs and Finance shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed or delegated to him by or under the provisions of this Act.
