(1) There shall be a Mayor-in-Council consisting of Lhc Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and not more than (en other elccied members of \hc Corporalion. (2) The Deputy Mayor and the other members referred to in subsection ([) shall be nominated by the Mayor from amongst the elecled members of the Corpora(ion as soon as possible after he enters upon his office and shall assume office after taking such oath of secrecy as may be prescribed.
