7(1) Whoever— (a) contravenes any provision of any or the sections, sub-sections, clauses or provisos, or any oLher provison, of this Acl mentioned in column I of Schedule VI, or (b) fails Lo comply with any order or direction lawfully given to him or any requisition lawfully made to him under any such seciion, sub- section, clause or proviso or olher provision, shall be punishable—- (i) with fine which may extend to the amouni, or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to Lhe period, specified in Lhai behalf in column 3 of lhe said Schedule or with both, and 876 The Kolkata Municipul Corporalion Aci, 1980.
