The Municipal Commissioner or any oiherorflcer or employee Power, of or the Corporation authorised by the Municipal Commissioner or empowered by or under [his Aci, in this behalf may enter into or upon any land or building with or without assistants or workmen- fa) for the purpose of ascertaining whether ihere is or has been in connection with the land or the building any contravention of lhe provisions of this Act or the rules or the regulations made [hereunder; (b) for [lie purpose of ascertaining whether or not circumstances exist which render it necessary for or require the Municipal Commissioner or any other officcr or employee of the Corporalion authorised or empowered in this behalf to lake any action or execute any work under lhis Acl or the rules or lhe regulations made thereunder; (c) for the purpose of taking any action or executing any work authorised or required by this Act or the rules or the regulations made thereunder; (d) Lo make such inquiry, inspection, examination, measurement, valuation or survey as may be authorised or required by or under this Act or necessary Tor the proper administration of this Act; (e) generally for the purpose of efficient discharge of the functions by any of lhe authorities under this Acl or the rules n r f h f- r f ' u n l : t f i r m ? m i r l p 854 The Kolkata Municipul Corporalion Aci, 1980.
