(1) The Municipal Commissioner may— (a) with the approval of the Corporation determine the name or number by which any street or public place vested in Lhe Corporation shall be known: Provided Lhat in giving such approval, the Corporation shall consider the recommendation of the Advisory Committee and may accept lhe same: ■ Provided further that if the Corporation is unable to accept such recommendation, it shall forward its proposal together with the recommendation of the Advisory Commiilee and its comments thereon to Lhe Slale Government whose decision thereon shall be final; (b) cause lo be put up or printed at a conspicuous pan of any building, wall or placc at or near each end, comer or entrance of such sLreeL or on some convenient part of such sireel lhe name or number by which il shall be known; (c) causc to be put up or painted on boards of suitable size the name of any public place vested in lite Corporation; (d) wiih llie approval of lhc Mayor-in-Council determine the number or sub-number by which any premises or pari thereof shall be known; (e) by written notice require an owner of any premises or part thereof (o put up by means of a metal plate a number or sub-number on such premises or part LhereoHn such position and in such manner as may be specified in such notice. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-clause (a) of sub-seciion {1), the nomenclature of each category of street whose name is changed after the commencement or Lhis Act shall be determined by regulations.
