(1) When under Ilie provisions of lhis Acl, any person may be required or is liable to execute any work, the Municipal Commissioner may, in accordance with the provisions of lhis Act and of any rules or regulations made in this behair, cause such work lo be executed after giving such person an opportunity of executing Lhe same within such lime as may be specified by him for lhis purpose. (2) The expenses incurred or likely io be incurred by lhe Municipal Commissioner in the execuiion of any such work shall be payable by lhe said person unless the Mayor-in- Council directs the payment or such expenses oui of lhe Municipal Fund. (3) The expenses referred to in sub-seciion (2) shall be recoverable from the person or persons liable therefor as an arrear of lax under this Aci.
