If il appears to the Municipal Commissioner that any premises in '[Kolkaia] are without supply or wholesome waler for domestic purposes or lhai lhe existing supply of water for domestic purposes available for the persons usually occupying or employed in such premises is inadequate or on any sanitary grounds objectionable, the Municipal Commissioner may by notice in writing require the owner of the premises or the persons primarily liable for the payment of the :[propcrly lax] in respect of the same—- (a) to lake a connection from lhe supply mains or Lhc Corporation adequate for Lhe requirements of Lhe person occupying or employed in Lhe premises or to lake such additional or enlarged connection or connections from lhe supply mains; and The Kolkata Municipal Corporalion Acl. 1980. <713 LIX of 1980.] Power lo require water supply to he taken, Power lo close or rcstricl use or water from polluted sources of supply.
