In ihis Chapter, unless the context otherwise requires,— Definitions, (1) "main" means a trunk main, or reserve main, or service main, as lhe case may be, in a given context; (2) "reserve main" means a main laid by the Corporalion for lhe purpose of giving a general supply of waler as distinct from a supply (o individual consumers and includes any apparatus used in connection wiih such main; (3) "service main" means so much of any main Tor supplying waler from a reserve main to any premises as is subject io water pressure from that reserve main or would be so subject but for lhe closing of some tap; " (4) "supply pipe" means so much of any pipe Tor supplying water from a service main to any premises as is subject Lo water pressure from that main or would be so subject but for Ihe closing of some lap; (5) "trunk main" means a main constructed for the purpose of conveying waler from a source oFsupply to a filter or reservoir or from one niter or reservoir to another filter or reservoir, or for the purpose of conveying water in bulk, from one part of the limits of supply to another part of those limits, or for the purpose or giving or taking a supply or waler in bulk; (6) "water filLings" includes pipes (other lhan mains), laps, cocks, valves, ferrules, meters, cistcms, baths and olher similar apparatus used in connection with the supply and use of waler.
