(3) Save as provided in sub-section (2), ihe procedure laid down in ihis Act shall be followed in all proceedings relaiing loa contravention or theprovisons oflhe '{Kolkaia] Municipal Act, 1951. J631 A. Notwithstanding anylhing contained in this Act or in any olher law for the lime being in force, any person elected to the Corporation as Alderman and holding office as such immediately before the commencement of lhe Wesl Bengal Municipal Corporation Laws (Third Amendment) Ac[, 1994, shall coniinue io hold such office (ill the expiration of his term of office in accordance wiih lhe provisions of this Aci in force immediately before the commencement of the West Bengal Municipal Corporation Laws (Third Amendment) Act, 1994.
