(I) On llie wrinen requisition of a Secretary to lhe Stale Government the Mayor-in-Council may al any lime require lhc Municipal Commissioner Lo underlake lhc execution of any work certified by the Secretary to be urgently required in the public intcresi and. for ihis purpose, to make payment temporarily Tor such work from lhc Municipal Fund in so far as such payment can be made without unduly interfering with the regular work oT the municipal government, (2) Thecosi of all worksocxecuicd and or the establishment engaged in executing the same shall be paid by the State Government and credited to the Municipal Fund, (3) On receipt of any requisition under sub-section (1). the Mayor-in-Council shall forthwith forward a copy thereof to lhe Corporalion together with a report of the steps taken in pursuance of ihe same.
